The new Lamborghini Aventador S is aimed to represent a new era of aerodynamic design, redeveloped suspension, increased power and new driving dynamics
Just a couple of months after its global launch, the Lamborghini Aventador S make its official entry into the Indian market today (March 3, 2017). The new Aventador S promises to be a sharper driving device than its predecessor, courtesy updates to its engine, new chassis tuning and revised aerodynamics.
Visually, the S moniker adds more aggressively sculpted, as well as more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. The new design elements are said to provide an increase of 130% in front downforce, while the new side air vents reduce turbulence, claiming to improve cooling and increasing efficiency when compared to the first model.
On the insides, the Aventador S gets a choice of having new materials such as Carbon Skin in the cabin, and to have certain parts of the carbon body left exposed. The instrument panel with interactive TFT LCD display now comes with completely redesigned graphics, while the whole cabin’s ambience can now be enhanced with a new LED lighting system.
The new S model will inherit the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine from the Aventador family, but it has been tuned to deliver 40 HP more than the outgoing model, uplifting the output to 740 HP. The 7-speed automated manual transmission has been retained, along with the AWD system. The Aventador S completes the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 2.9 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
