Like the original Grandeur which was based on the Japanese-market Mitsubishi Debonair, the all-new model features an upright front end and pronounced quarter glass at the rear pillars, along with a full-width rear tail lamp. At the back, the full-width LED bar for the taillights is very thin, situated under a duck-tail-style plan for the rear end, like the Hyundai Ioniq 6 however with a considerably more confident and moderate methodology. The dark flat component on the bumper that fills in as a continuation of the line over the side ledges emphasizes the car’s width, along with the level reflector. Inside the steering wheel is inspired by the first-generation model’s single-spoke wheel. The dashboard features a widescreen digital instrument cluster and infotainment display, with an additional touchscreen that looks after climate control duties below.

Wood and aluminum accents are combined with eco-process Napa leather and anti-bacterial leather upholstery. Physical buttons have been kept at a minimum throughout, and security has been improved with a fingerprint scanner for the driver. The all-new Grandeur comes with four engine options- a hybrid 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder, a 2.5-liter petrol four-cylinder, and a 3.5-liter V6 in petrol or LPG (gas) forms. The flagship V6 trim will produce as much as 295 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and feature AWD. The 2023 Hyundai Grandeur will launch next month in Korea before rolling out to some left-hand-drive markets in the Middle East, making it unlikely the model will be offered in markets like Australia.

“The seventh-generation Grandeur expresses our respect for the past and commitment to move on to the future,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center. “We are creating a new standard for the premium sedan market through emotive design and a refined customer experience.”
