Ford India has announced the commencement of pan-India bookings for the Mustang GT. Introduced in India with a price tag of INR 65 lakh (ex-showroom) less than 6 months ago (July 2016), the sales of the iconic pony car were limited to Mumbai and Delhi in the first phase, but not anymore!
Within a month of its launch, the Mustang GT reportedly became the best selling sports car of India. The company managed to sell all the 100 units that were allocated for India, with the first 35 units being delivered in the first month itself.

The Mustang is available in India only with the 5.0-litre V8 engine that is capable of producing 435 hp while the peak torque is rated at 542 Nm. This motor comes mated to a six speed SelectShift automatic transmission. This powertrain helps the model to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds until a top speed of 250 kmph.
