Screeching the tarmac with its rubber tyre, two of the most exclusive supercars, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and LaFerrari were spotted racing near Doha, Dubai.
The Instagram video showcases these two supercars driving next to each other before pushing the pedal to the floor releasing hundreds of horses under the hood. Sadly, the person who was capturing the video was not in a supercar and so could not keep up with these Italian stallions and the end of the race remains a mystery.
But to give you all a perspective of the sheer number of these two supercars, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine that makes 561 bhp of power and 540Nm of torque. Now, that may not sound like speed shattering numbers but there is a huge catch here. The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is like a supermodel of the supercar world, and a very slim one. This supercar weighs just 999 kilograms! The low weight gives the Lamborghini a superb power to weight ratio and helps the car accelerate from naught to 100 kph in just 2.5 seconds with a top speed of over 300 kph. That’s quicker than most of us can type “Lamborghini Sesto Elemento” and Google it!
The LaFerrari on the other hand is a hybrid which churns its power from a 6.3-litre V12 engine that makes 788 bhp of power and 700Nm of torque. It also has an electric motor that produces 160 bhp and 270Nm of torque. Combined, the Ferrari can make about 958 bhp and can propel to 100 kph in less than three seconds with a top speed in excess of 350 kph. However, it’s a little heavier (not that we are calling it fat) than the Sesto Elemento by about 256 kilograms.
Till the two Italian stallions are kept face to face on a race track, we can only play with the numbers to determine which is the fastest of the two.
