Rumours have been abounding about the next generation Fiat Punto. While there are some who say that the new car would feature exterior styling inspired by the new Panda, there are others who are of the belief that the car would borrow design cues from the Fiat 500. Unsurprisingly, there are some who feel that the car might take design inspiration from both Panda and the 500.
Seen here are a couple of speculative sketches that might be a glimpse of the 2015 Fiat Punto. These sketches have been made with design cues from both the Panda and the 500L. The front fascia has hints of the 500. However, elements such as bold wheel arches come from the new Panda. Overall, the car in these sketches are attempts to prepare an amalgam of the design cues from both the Panda and the 500, without sacrificing the identity of the Punto.
The current generation Punto has been designed by renowned car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. The Punto, even after almost a decade, is among the tastiest hatchbacks on sale. It remains to be seen if the new car would look at least as attractive as the new Punto.
