CRASHED: Exotic Mansory Ferrari 458 Siracusa in China

Ouchie! That is a gut-wrenching sight to see.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is one of the best selling cars from the Maranello-based exotic carmaker. The 458 is so named, because it houses a 4.5-litre normally-aspirated V8 which pumps out 570 proud Italian horses. This means the Italia scampers from a standstill to 100 klicks in a smidgen under 3.5 seconds! The standard car tops out at around 320 km/h, which is pretty crazy fast on its own. But, there are some who find this to be ‘not fast enough’ and not showy enough. It’s for such people, that there exists a aftermarket modification house that goes by the calling card, Mansory. This German tuning and modification company has customised everything, from Bentleys to 1000 horsepower Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the ultimate hypercar, the Bugatti Veyron.

The standard Italia is drop-dead gorgeous in itself.

The 458 that crashed recently in China, was a Mansory version that chucked out 590 horsepower (20 more than the regular Italia) and can now do the 0-100 run in shade over 3 seconds. The top speed, too, climbs from 320 to 328 km/h. Yes, that doesn’t exactly seem very substantial , but for people who can afford buying such cars and run them, that’s an increment worth splurging more money, on. Not to mention, these ones are even more exotic than the regular Maranello-produced Ferraris.

What a waste, this!

We aren’t sure what caused this Mansory to crash or if the driver was hurt or not. However, as you can see for yourself, the crash seems powerful enough to rip the 21-inch front-right wheel clean off its mountings. We hope no one was injured in this incident and that the driver of this exotic car was able to walk away, hopefully unscathed. Regardless, this car will probably never see any action, anymore. But, let’s hope the owner salvages the situation and mends this work-of-art, back to its full glory.
