Auto Expo 2018: Covers Come Off The New Honda CR-V Diesel

Honda Cars India is expected to make some big announcements at the biennial motor show. Our man is there in time before the covers come off. Covers have already come off the 5th Generation Honda CR-V, which is expected to arrive powered by a diesel motor this time and with 7 seats. The car is expected to be launched in the upcoming financial year.

Honda said that the next generation CR-V sets the benchmark in terms of design essence, driving performance, advanced functions and features. The big news is that fir the first time, the CR-V will be introduced in Diesel powertraln along with petrol engine option in the Indian market. The 5th Gen Honda CR-V comes with bold and sophisticated new styling featuring LED head and tail light, LED Daytime Running lights, sharp front grille and sporty new alloy wheels.

The Honda CRV is one of the most popular choices among premium SUVs globally and is sold in more than 160 countries with more than 9.0 million units sold worldwide to date.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Takahiro Hachigo, President & Representative Director, Honda Motor Co, Ltd. said, “2017, Honda provided our products and joys to over 30 million customers around the world. The automobile products accounted for 5.3 million of our global sales and India was great contributor. We are committed to the Indian market and aim to launch six models in the corning three years. Today we announce three of those models, the All New Amaze, All New CR -V and the much awaited 10th Gen Civic which will be launched in India in FY 18-19.”
