Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 launched

The 1300 R Edition 23 is the latest iteration of Brabus’ first two-wheeler, which was developed in Germany. Before the introduction of the 1300 R a little over a year ago, Brabus, a German company based in Bottrop, was well known for its tuned Mercedes-Benz automobiles. Its first attempt at a two-wheeler was created in partnership with the Austrian brand KTM.

Specs and Features

The liquid-cooled, 1,301cc, 180hp, 140Nm-producing, V-Twin powered KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo serves as the foundation for this new Edition 23, just like the preceding 1300 R. It shares all of the mechanical parts with that bike, so you get Brembo Stylema callipers, WP steering dampers, electronically adjustable WP suspension at both ends, and Bridgestone S22 tyres.

Components like the machined monoblock 9-spoke wheels, the custom twin-barrel end-can, the quilted seat bearing the Brabus name, and its own graphics on the colour TFT dash are examples of where Brabus has put its own distinctive touches.

The bodywork is entirely composed of carbon fibre, with the exception of the fuel tank and the rear cowling. The brake and clutch levers, as well as the movable footpegs, were all CNC-machined. The LED turn indicators are distinct from those on the KTM, and the rear ones, like those on the BMW S 1000 RR, also incorporate the brake light.

The 1300 R Edition 23 also includes a quick-action throttle that was installed by Brabus. Brabus hasn’t forgone creature conveniences like cruise control, heated grips, or a comfortable seat despite the bike’s unique character.

Superblack and Stealth Grey are the two colour choices for the Brabus 1300 R Edition 23. 290 units of the Edition 23 will be made accessible to the public, as opposed to the earlier 1300 R, which had a worldwide cap of 154 units, and each bike will come with an authenticity certificate. Each colorway will have 145 units made. Beginning on February 16, pre-orders for the Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 will be accepted.
