BMW has launched the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition in India. This limited edition model is now available exclusively through the BMW Online Shop, with an ex-showroom price of INR 46.90 lakh.
The 220i M Sport Shadow Edition is produced locally at BMW Group Plant in Chennai. The car is offered in two distinctive colors: Alpine White and the newly introduced Skyscraper Grey.
220i M Sport Shadow Edition Design and Features
The Shadow Edition stands out with its blacked-out kidney grille, Adaptive LED Headlights, and all-black rear spoiler. The frameless doors and stretched silhouette give it a sporty, broad-set stance. Inside, the car offers a spacious cabin with sports seats featuring an electrical memory function and the exclusive ‘Illuminated Berlin’ interior trim. The Carbon Gear Selector and ambient lighting with six dimmable designs enhance the sporty yet luxurious feel of the interior.

Under the hood, the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition features a BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 190 hp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm. This setup allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.1 seconds. The eight-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission ensures smooth gear shifts and comes with paddle shifters for a more engaging driving experience. Drivers can choose from ECO PRO, Comfort, and Sport modes using the Driving Experience Control switch.

The 220i M Sport Shadow Edition is equipped with BMW’s latest ConnectedDrive technologies, including the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which features a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch Control Display. The BMW Virtual Assistant and Gesture Control offer intuitive interaction with the car’s functions. Wireless Apple CarPlay and inductive wireless charging add to the convenience. Parking is made easier with the Parking Assistant, Rear View Camera, and Reversing Assistant, which records the last 50 meters driven to assist in maneuvering out of tight spots.

Safety features in the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition include six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), and electronic parking brake with auto hold. The car also includes ISOFIX child seat mounting and an integrated emergency spare wheel.
