Bike sales November 2014: Yamaha Motor India posts 12% domestic sales growth

Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has registered a growth of 12% in domestic sales during November’ 2014 as compared to the corresponding period last year. Along with its innovative efforts, ongoing customer-centric activities, the company successfully launched its Yamaha SZ RR Version 2.0. The company sold 44,678 units in November 2014 as against 39,777 units sold in November last year in the domestic market thereby registering a sales growth of 12%.

Elaborating on the results, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, said, “This has indeed been a year of recovery for the auto sector. We are pleased with the sales growth that we’ve witnessed in the past month on account of our strong product portfolio; upbeat customer confidence, the launch of SZ RR Version 2.0 and strategic customer connect initiatives, which have invariably managed to keep the growth consistent. The incessant growth numbers are a sign of Yamaha’s robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programs. I can assure you, that we at Yamaha shall only strive to deliver only what we think is best for our customers”.

Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0 Blue Core Launched (2)

The SZ RR Version 2.0 is a Stylish Commuter which is an upgrade to its existing SZ-RR bike launched last year and is based on the Blue Core development ideal. It is powered by a freshly designed air-cooled 149cc 4-stroke, SOHC, single-cylinder engine. Its key features include, a new engine that maintains the feeling of power delivery from the original SZ Series models while greatly improving fuel efficiency (11% improvement vs. 2013 model), newly designed tubeless tires, newly designed instrument panel and an array of other features that make it worthy of a 150cc class model, like a handlebar holder with the “SZ” logo and shroud fitted to add a more sporty character.
