Badass woman gives birth in moving car while husband drives and films

An American woman delivered a 10-pound baby boy in a moving car while her husband who was driving filmed her with his GoPro. The couple was on their way to a hospital in Houston, Texas, with the lady in intense labour when the baby decided to arrive early, 45 minutes into the trip.

Sitting in the front passenger seat, the lady, named Lesia Pettijohn, can be seen screaming in pain and breathing through her contractions. Jonathan, her husband, who was doing double duty as driver and cameraman remained outwardly calm as she screamed, realising that the baby is about to be born. By the time he helped her undo her seatbelt and pull down her leggings, the newest member of their family has arrived.

“The only reason I would pull over is if there is something wrong that needed to be dealt with immediately,” Jonathan told KHOU-TV. The roughly four-minute video shows him calmly instructing his wife while she screams, “It’s coming out! It’s coming out!”

“He came out right in the car! Oh my god. You’re beautiful! Oh my goodness! What do I do?,” the woman says.

“Spank him. He’s breathing, if he’s crying, he’s breathing, but hold him upside down, babe. Hold him upside down and pat him on the booty,” Jonathan’s reassuring voice can be heard saying.

After the birth, he says, “We did it! High-five, babe!”

This was the couple’s third child. They have two daughters.

A note of warning before you watch the video below though; giving birth is no joke, so if you’re squeamish or are appalled by the notion of childbirth on camera in any way, you might want to stop right here.
