The Chai and Pakoda rides are famous with the biker community in INdia. The Mumbai edition of Chai and Pakoda ride created history as over 500 bikers and pillion riders came together at 7 am on a Sunday morning to be a part of an amazing brotherhood that is the bikers of India. India Bike Week, India’s largest Motorbike Festival, organized the ride, in association with Social Media Week. IBW’s ‘Chai & Pakoda’ ride started from a suburban location in Mumbai to Parsi Da Dhaba situated on NH-8 about 150 kms from Mumbai and once on the highway, it was like a river of liquid fire that went as far as the eye could see.
Commenting on the astonishing response to this year’s Mumbai edition of Chai & Pakoda ride Martin da Costa, CEO of 70 EMG said “It’s great to see the enthusiasm with which the Mumbai biking community has received this ride. As I always say, IBW is not about brands and models, anyone who wishes to be a rider is welcome, and anyone with a love for bikes and love of the road is welcome. All the bikers who rode their way to be a part of an amazing union today substantiated what we preach.”
“By 8.00 am we had crossed 500 bikers and there were many who came just to show their support. It was one solid ride. Dozens of Biker Clubs were represented. What made it special was the enthusiasm for the third edition of INDIA BIKE WEEK. Over a Parsi breakfast of Kheema Pao, Chicken Cutlets & Acuri, bikers got busy making plans for the upcoming event and how they’ll catch up in Goa” says Shrijit Patil, one of the riders who has participated in this ride since its inception in 2013.
Another highpoint of the morning was the message by the organisers about tickets going on sale for IBW 2015 from October 7th onwards. The organisers are introducing a never before heard offer this year, where patrons have the opportunity to avail a special 5 hour only Early Bird Scheme (Buy 1, get 50% off on the 2nd one).
This year, the organisers have decided to keep the ticket prices unchanged, and they will once again be priced at Rs 3,000/-. The ticket price remains the same, but the festival promises a lot more excitement than what has been offered in the previous years.
