Fresh Design, Familiar Intent
Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the 2025 Altroz, and while the name remains the same, just about everything else gets sharper, bolder, and more feature-packed. First shown as Concept 45X, the Altroz redefined what a premium hatchback meant for India. And now, in its latest avatar, it wants to stretch that benchmark further.
Visually, the 2025 Altroz sports a bolder 3D grille, sleeker Luminate LED headlamps, new Infinity connected LED tail-lamps, and segment-first flush door handles. The design feels a notch above with its floating roof, sculpted sides, and aggressive stance. Tata has also introduced new colours like Dune Glow and Ember Glow to dial up its street cred.

Loaded Cabin With Segment-First Tech
Inside, things feel even more evolved. The dashboard now features the ‘Grand Prestigia’ layout with soft-touch surfaces, dual-tone beige finish, and ambient lighting. Rear passengers get executive lounge-style seating with enhanced thigh support, a flat floor, and wide 90-degree door openings.

Tech upgrades include twin 10.25-inch UltraView HD screens (infotainment and cluster), 360° surround view camera with blind spot monitor, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, twin 65W Type-C fast chargers, and an air purifier. There’s also iRA connected car tech offering 50+ features.
Multiple Powertrains, Same Focus on Choice
The new Altroz continues to stand out with its diverse engine-transmission mix. It’s the only car in the segment to offer:
- 1.2L Revotron petrol with manual, AMT, and DCA
- 1.2L twin-cylinder iCNG with no boot space compromise
- 1.5L Revotorq diesel (India’s only diesel hatchback)
Power outputs range from 73.5 PS (CNG) to 90 PS (diesel), while torque peaks at 200 Nm in diesel variants. Whether you’re chasing mileage or that open-road punch, there’s an Altroz variant to match.
Packed With Safety Kit
Built on Tata’s ALFA architecture, the Altroz comes with six airbags and ESP as standard. Also on offer are ISOFIX child seat mounts, SOS calling, hill hold assist, LED fog lamps with cornering, and direct TPMS. It remains the only premium hatch to have secured a 5-star safety rating under GNCAP (2020).

Final Thoughts
The 2025 Tata Altroz isn’t here to just polish its legacy—it wants to gatecrash your wish list. A diesel in a world that’s almost forgotten it, a CNG with no compromises, a petrol with three gearboxes to choose from, and a cabin that finally feels worth the price tag. Safe to say, this is Tata’s most complete hatch yet. And while your neighbour might still talk about turbo SUVs, you can just Altroz your way past them—with style, safety, and that sweet low-end torque.
