Out of the 4 concept vehicles, Honda has revealed names of only two and kept the remaining two a mystery. Honda will showcase the Neowing and EV-Cub Concept at the event. The Neowing was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last year and had garnered a lot of attention at the event. The tilting trike is offers a sporty ride equivalent to a large-sized motorcycle and stability in low-speed ranges. A hybrid combination of a 4-cylinder petrol engine and a second electric motor powers the Neowing. The power figures of the machine are not known as of yet, but it is about time to see it at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The next generation EV-Cub Concept is a personal commuter model for short-distance commuting that follows the concept of an easy-to-handle and economical motorcycle. Placing the battery, at a low position in the middle of the body allows easy mounting and dismounting. In consideration of ease-of-use in a broader range of environments, the battery itself is made detachable and rechargeable using a standard home wall socket.
Along with the new vehicles Honda will get Akshay Kumar & Taapsee Pannu to jazz up their event pavilion. For kids and families, Honda’s favorite animation superstar ‘Chhota Bheem’ will promote road safety and awareness in a fun way. With road safety at its heart, Honda will promote road safety at its outdoor area through both theory (road safety education to spread healthy road sense) and practical approach. There is an opportunity for all ages – CRF 50 and first aid training for kids, riding simulator training for new riders and an exclusive safe riding activity for females.
While the 6 models to be launched in India are still under wraps therefore no candies here, but it a matter of weeks to see Honda unveil the bikes/scoots. Till then stay tuned for more updates and info of the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo!
