KTM has loaded its Duke 390 motorcycle with a slipper clutch and the final nail to the coffin of all the doubts is a set of workshop manual images that indicate a slipper clutch assembly on the new 2015 models. These latest set of images compare the new clutch assembly with the older one and clearly mention “Clutch – Assist and Slipper”.

As we reported earlier, KTM has updated all the 2015 Duke 390 street-fighter motorcycles with slew of features for more durability and comfort. For 2015, KTM has loaded the Duke 390 with a slipper clutch for easy operations. A slipper clutch to mitigate the effects of engine braking when riders decelerate and downshift gears aggressively. Moreover, the service interval on the new 2015 models have also been extended to 7,500 kilometers from the previous 5,000 kilometers.
