The eagerly awaited Frankfurt Motor Show, which kicks off next week, will be the ground for unveiling of the new Jeep Wrangler Polar limited edition.
This special edition which is based on the Wrangler Unlimited model sports Hydro Blue exterior paint and black interiors.
The Polar edition wears unique 18-inch glossy black rims and also features a body-colored hard top.Mopar accessories are also available for this edition.
The front fender of this Jeep sports the 78° S and 106° E coordinates which are the latitudes for Vostok, Antarctica which is the record holder for the most severe temperature ever recorded of -98.2 degrees Celsius.
The Wrangler Polar will be available in Europe as a 2 or 4 door with an oil burner displacing 2.8-litre ( turbo diesel) and belting out 200 HP (@ 3600 rpm) and a healthy peak torque of 460 Nm (available between 1,600 and 2,600 rpm). It will be mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Also available is the six-speed manual transmission where the engine produces 200 HP and 410 Nm of torque (2600-3200 rpm). A V6 gasoline engine displacing 3.6-litre and rated at 284 HP and 347 Nm of torque which is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Standard equipment on the Polar Wrangler includes cruise control, heated front seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel,height-adjustable driver’s seat and automatic climate control. Optional configuration options(obviously for some extra moolah) named as Polar Pack 1 for this limited edition includes a 6.5 inch Uconnect having a 40GB Hard disk drive, Front Side Airbags, USB/AUX port and a DVD player.
