Hyundai launches Safe Move-Traffic Safety Campaign in India

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), in association with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative titled Safe Move-Traffic Safety Campaign. The campaign educates children on traffic safety and will have both online and offline channels. The Corporate Brand Ambassador for the HMIL, Shah Rukh Khan will also be participating in this CSR.

The Robocar Poli (Police car) animation series along with a message by Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari and HMIL ambassador Shah Rukh Khan will be aired on Hungama TV channel. The 26 episode series will have language options of English, Hindi and Tamil. Apart from this, special School Contact and Residential Welfare Association (RWA) programs have been designed to reach out and spread the message of Traffic Safety across multiple cities in India starting with Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Delhi and Chennai.

The RWA contact program will be rolled out to over 200 residential units in five cities. The best practices of Traffic Safety will be taught to both parents as well as children through traffic lessons and inter-active sessions with the help of games. The School Contact program on the other hand will reach out to 40 schools based in five cities using an interactive board game by the mode of flash cards to create a deeper engagement. This is bound to improve connect and recall ability and make the sessions more enjoyable among school children.

Expressing his views about the event Y.K Koo, Managing Director, HMIL said that Hyundai is a responsible car manufacturer and it is their responsibility to apprise children about the importance of Traffic Safety for a better future. He further added that children are the future of a nation and Traffic Safety Campaign is an effort by them to reach out to the children and educate them with the best practices of Traffic Safety.

Hyundai has developed a specially designed website for children on Traffic Safety known as Kids Hyundai. The website will serve as an outpost for the “Safe Move” program and carry news, animation episodes, online engagements, car production, car history, evolution related content and registration for various programs under the initiative.
