Veilside comes up with SL-Class Black Fortune

Japan and car tuning goes hand in hand. From boxy looking drift cars to ‘Lan-evos’ pumping out 4 times their stock power output, the country has it all. Recently, Japanese tuners Veilside came out with their SL-Class Black Fortune at the ongoing Tokyo Auto Salon. It is the for the first tine that the firm has worked upon the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and Veilside has developed a body conversion kit that has been inspired by the lethal and my favorite German sportscar-Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series. However, you will be disappointed if you had hoped to see a full replica of the Black.Instead, the kit has taken many design cues and elements from the Black Series and tastefully implanted them on to the stock SL class to make it look ready to rub shoulders with the cousin from Black Series.

There can be seen quite an overdose of exposed Carbon fibre and this is not all. Seems like the tuning firm could not get enough of the exotic CF and built the complete body kit (front bumper, hood, fenders, side skirts, rear bumper and rear spoiler) out of carbon fiber.

Only 300 such kits will be made and the stock car can be converted into Black Series inspired SL Black Fortune for a price of 3,000,000 JPY ($39,000 / €31,000).
