Violence erupted in the streets of Chikkaballapur, Karnataka over what is believed to be an accident involving a KTM RC390. The incident, which took place at the Bullali junction, witnessed a number of locals thrashing bikers who were out for their Sunday morning ride.
Reports suggest that the rider of the KTM RC390 hit a 11 year old girl, which resulted in her death. Following the death of the child, locals blocked both the sides of the road and stopped all the riders with premium motorcycles, following which they were trashed and their bikes damaged.
As the images suggest, bikes such as the BMW R1200 GS and a Harley Davidson Fatboy were some of the bikes which were damaged by locals. It is said that the police later came in and took control of the situation.
Following are a few tips to keep in mind when riding on the highway:
- Ride cautiously while passing a village.
- Look out for jay walkers, especially children and slow down if you spot any on the road.
- Use horn when necessary.
