The front axle will be powered by an electric motor producing 131 HP and 250 Nm of torque which will result in a combined output of 362 HP and 570 Nm of torque.

The 2014 BMW i8 will tip the scale at less than 1490 kg and will return a fuel efficiency of 94 mpg (US) with the emission figures of 59 g/km of CO2. BMW also states that the electric range of this hybrid will be 22 miles (35 km) and will hit a zero-emission top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h).
