The KTM 200 Duke now gets features that were earlier associated with more expensive motorcycles. The 200cc streetfighter now features a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, and multiple riding modes. This update comes with a marginal price hike of Rs 1,552, bringing the new price to Rs 2,07,140 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The New Electronic Package Explained
The addition of a ride-by-wire throttle system replaces the old mechanical cable setup, allowing KTM to integrate several advanced electronic driver aids:
- Traction Control: Helps manage rear-wheel grip to prevent slides on slippery surfaces.
- Bi-Directional Quickshifter: Enables riders to shift both up and down through the gears without pulling the clutch lever.
- Ride Modes: Features ‘Street’ and ‘Rain’ modes, which adjust throttle response based on road and weather conditions.
- Crawl Assist: A low-speed assist system designed to minimize rider effort and fatigue in heavy, stop-and-go city traffic.
- Revised Switchgear: The right-side handlebar switch cube has been updated to help navigate the new functions.
Riders can manage all of these electronic additions through the 5-inch TFT instrument display, which originally debuted on the 200 Duke in 2024.
