Mahindra is clearly serious about electric cars. The company has already introduced new born electric models, and more are on the way. Now a new electric SUV has been spotted on Indian roads. It is believed to be the upcoming Mahindra BE07.
The test vehicle was covered in heavy camouflage, but a few design details could still be noticed.
Key things that can be seen on the test mule
- Closed front grille which is common on electric cars
- A stepped front bumper with a slim air vent
- Large aero style alloy wheels
- Flush door handles
- Large glass area with a steeply sloping windshield
- Regular wing mirrors instead of the camera setup seen on the concept
The original concept that was displayed earlier had a very sharp and edgy design. The production test vehicle has a slightly smoother, more practical appearance. This is normal, as companies often simplify concept designs before production.

Rear details were not clearly visible in the spy shots. However, it could get connected LED tail lamps like other Born Electric models from Mahindra.
Cabin details are not confirmed but. The concept version featured a modern dashboard with three large screens. Current Mahindra electric SUVs such as the XEV 9e and XEV 9S already use this triple screen setup. A similar layout may appear in the BE07 as well.
Important expected details
- Built on Mahindra’s INGLO electric architecture
- Expected to be a five seat electric SUV
- Concept size was around 4.5 metres in length
- Wheelbase close to 2,775 mm
- Battery options could range from 59 kWh to 79 kWh
- Top version may produce around 228 bhp and 380 Nm
In Mahindra’s electric range, the BE07 is expected to slot between the BE6 and the bigger BE09. When it arrives, it is likely to compete with electric SUVs like the Tata Harrier EV and the VinFast VF7.
Mahindra has already confirmed that this new electric SUV is planned to be launched in 2027.
