Rolls-Royce has taken luxury to new heights with the introduction of the Arcadia Droptail, a coachbuilt masterpiece that exudes tranquility and elegance.
Unveiled on February 29, 2024, at Goodwood, West Sussex, this bespoke creation marks the third Coachbuild Droptail commission.
A Symphony of Craftsmanship and Design
Arcadia Droptail is not just a car; it’s a celebration of form, meticulously designed to reflect its owner’s personality. The coachbuild process involves a deep collaboration between influential clients and Rolls-Royce designers, engineers, and craftspeople.

Design Inspired by Mythical Arcadia
Named after the mythical realm of Arcadia, known as ‘Heaven on Earth’ in Ancient Greek mythology, this motor car captures the extraordinary beauty and perfect harmony.
The client envisioned a serene space inspired by global design influences, from modernist tropical sky gardens to British ‘Biomimetic’ architecture.
Timeless Beauty in Every Detail
The exterior design pays homage to the Droptail concept, with a calm, natural duotone colorway that creates an spirited glister.
The solid white infused with aluminum and glass particles gives an illusion of unending depth. The carbon fiber, painted in Bespoke silver, adds a touch of sophistication.
Mirror-polished brightwork on the grille surround, ‘kinked’ vane pieces, and 22-inch alloy wheels elevates the exterior aesthetics.

Mirror-Finish Brightwork
The exterior grille surround and alloy wheels are fully mirror-polished, a nod to the mirror finish of historical Rolls-Royces. This meticulous attention to detail enhances the elegance of the motor car.
Santos Straight Grain Wood Elegance
The interior of Arcadia Droptail is a study in sophistication, with the client’s personal taste reflected in every detail. The Santos Straight Grain wood, with its unique interlocking grain pattern, is used extensively.
This high-density hardwood posed challenges for Rolls-Royce artisans, but the result is a visually stunning interior that exudes richness and texture.

Bespoke Leather and Continuous Wood Panel
The leather interior features two exclusive hues, a Bespoke White and a Bespoke tan, creating a harmonious blend with the exterior color theme. The continuous wood panel, the largest ever seen in a Rolls-Royce, adds a touch of grandeur to the interior.
Precision Timepiece
The highlight of the interior is the clock face, the most complex in Rolls-Royce history. A five-month assembly process, coupled with two years of development, resulted in a masterpiece of haute horlogerie.
The clock incorporates a geometric guillochĂ© pattern and pays homage to Rolls-Royce’s 119-year heritage.
A Car for the World
Arcadia Droptail is a testament to the client’s international lifestyle, specified with left-hand drive for use worldwide. The client experienced the motor car virtually through Rolls-Royce’s ‘holodeck,’ a unique virtual 3D environment, ensuring it suits multiple locations globally.

A Four-Year Journey
The coachbuild process for Arcadia Droptail spanned over four years, with Rolls-Royce designers diving into every aspect of the client’s life, preferences, and style.
The result is a motor car that not only reflects the client’s taste but has become a reference for luxury commissions across various domains.
A Unique Expression of Luxury
Arcadia Droptail is more than a car; it’s an elegant space in the Droptail canon, a unique expression of Rolls-Royce’s Coachbuild prowess.
