Upcoming Bajaj Chetak to get long range along with a superior experience, combining a larger battery, advanced features, and enhanced mechanical components
The Upgraded Powerhouse
The upcoming Chetak Electric will grace the streets in two variants – the Urbane and the Premium. The showstopper is undeniably the Premium trim, showcasing a robust 3.2kWh battery pack. This powerhouse brings forth an ARAI-certified range of 126km. What’s more, this electric marvel is set to feature a cutting-edge TFT color display, ranging from five to seven inches. This display promises turn-by-turn navigation and seamless smartphone connectivity.

Extended Range
Stepping in to replace the current Premium trim, the Chetak Urbane variant maintains the dependable 2.9kWh battery pack. However, it takes a stride forward with an increased ARAI-certified range of 113km – a solid 5km more than its predecessor. But that’s not all; the Urbane variant is expected to offer a higher top speed.
Updated Mechanical Components
Underneath the sleek exterior, the revamped Bajaj Chetak Electric is anticipated to house a potent 4.25kW (5.7bhp) BLDC electric motor. This mechanical upgrade aims at delivering improved performance, hinting at a possible increase in top speed. The combination of a larger battery and a robust motor positions the Chetak Electric as a frontrunner in the electric scooter domain.

Anticipated Timeline and Pricing
Enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of the upgraded Chetak Electric, with the launch anticipated in the coming months. A sneak peek might be on the horizon in December 2023. As for the pricing, the Premium trim is expected to bear a premium price tag, potentially ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 over the current version. This reflects the substantial upgrades and improvements that the new model brings to the table.
