Volkswagen is gearing up for the festive season with the release of the Taigun Trail Edition on the 2nd November. This is a new variant of their Taigun SUV designed to boost sales. This Trail Edition Taigun is built upon the mid-spec GT model and will only be available for a limited time. The German automaker unveiled the Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition back in April this year.
What’s unique is that VW is offering it at the same price as the standard mid-spec Taigun GT. Here’s all that the new VW Trail edition has to offer.
VW Taigun Trail Edition: Exterior Upgrades

The exterior of the Trail edition showcases functional roof rails and body-side graphics on the rear fenders, doors, and C-pillars, all adorned with the “TRAIL” lettering. Additionally, it also includes a black roof foil, a Trail badge on the tailgate, black door garnish, black outer rear-view mirrors with red accents, and Black Belmont alloy wheels.
The Taigun Trail edition is part of the GT Edge Collection and comes in three exterior colors: Candy White, Reflex Silver, and Carbon Steel Grey.
VW Taigun Trail Edition: Interior Features

Inside, the Taigun Trail Edition boasts several upgrades compared to the standard GT variant. It features all-black leatherette upholstery with red stitching and piping, seats embossed with the ‘Trail’ badge, and steel pedals for a sporty touch. Puddle lamps projecting the VW logo are also included.
In terms of features, it offers everything available in the Taigun GT trim, including a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless phone connectivity and charging, automatic headlamps, a rear camera, and TPMS, among others.

However, some features like ventilated and powered front seats, a sunroof, cruise control, a fully digital instrument cluster, full LED headlamps, and six airbags are not present in this limited-edition model.
New Dashcam
The highlight in the cabin is the inclusion of a dual dash camera setup that can record both the road ahead and inside the SUV. The dual-camera Dashcam offers a 140° Ultra-Wide Viewing Angle for the front lens, Loop Recording, an Impact Sensor, Motion Detection, Parking Monitoring, and Low-Lux Recording with 6 IR lights. These recordings can be displayed on the built-in 5.08 cm IPS LCD.

VW Taigun Trail Edition: Other Details
At Rs 16.30 lakh, ex-showroom, the Taigun limited edition comes powered by the 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine. This mill produces 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Trail Edition is available for sale only for a limited period of time. And can be booked exclusively via the German carmaker’s official website.
