Honda City Facelift to Launch Next Month

For a long time, Honda has struggled with low sales. Honda is losing market share YoY and MoM due to a shortage in the SUV sector. For the Indian market, Honda is developing both a sub-4-meter and a compact SUV.

Nevertheless, because of the City and Amaze, Honda continues to have some success in the sedan market. Test mules for the Honda 5th generation City facelift have been seen numerous times. The spy photos suggest that there will just be a slight facelift. Based on stolen spy photos, our rendering artist Pratyush Rout precisely produced it.

2023 Honda City Facelift Changes

With only the slightest adjustments, Honda may develop a distinctive personality. This was demonstrated with the Amaze makeover. It was really little, but yet efficient. A similar approach was used to develop this fifth generation City makeover. In essence, our render shows a new front fascia that is considerably better-looking and cleaner.

The substantial front grille has been taken off. Additionally, a brand-new component that sits above the grille and gives the impression that the bonnet is an extension of it has been painted in the vehicle’s body colour. Since it is not as thick as the chrome bar, there is room for a somewhat larger grille with a honeycomb pattern to be added. This gives the 5th generation City facelift a more athletic appearance in our rendering.

In addition, the lower portion of the front bumper now has an LED bar in place of the previous model’s round LED fog lamps.

Specs and Features

The 5th generation City facelift is more similar to an RS trim that is available in a select ASEAN markets. Honda has not yet introduced a turbocharged gasoline engine for the fifth generation City. A 1.0L turbo-petrol engine with 122 horsepower and 173 Nm of torque is available in Thailand.

Verna, Slavia, and Virtus, City’s direct competitors, all have 1.0L turbo petrol engines. India-spec A 1.5L NA petrol engine with 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque will power the City facelift. Additionally, the City e:HEV Sensing brand offers a powerful hybrid powertrain.
