Ah, BMW! One of the few companies that give a driving experience worth writing home about.
A company that believes in “Sheer Driving Pleasure” and, actually delivers it. BMW has built some cars and bikes that really have left an impact on enthusiasts. From the M3, to the S1000RR, to the R1250GS, BMW’s vehicles are not only remarkable feats of engineering but also deliver a visceral driving experience that makes you come back to it again and again. We also need to consider the exquisite build-quality of BMWs that separate them from the competition, and the unique design language, that makes a BMW a BMW.
This Saturday, the 10th of December 2022, BMW is releasing some special models for India, something that no one might want to miss. The models are-the BMW X7, the interesting M340i, The BMW XM, and the fire-cracker of the liter-class superbike segment, the one and only, BMW S1000RR.
BMW X7
The all-new facelifted X7 is a proper luxury SUV that needs no introduction and has quite a fan following. The X7 will be facelifted, with a major change in styling. It will get a completely redesigned front fascia while also debuting the brand’s new split headlamp design. The interior also sees a major update with BMW’s latest curved infotainment screen that comprises a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen, running the latest, iDrive 8 software. The heart of the matter? A 380-hp, inline-six-cylinder petrol engine, and a 352-hp, Inline-6 diesel engine. Both will be available with 48V mild-hybrid tech and come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with all-wheel drive as standard.

BMW XM
The XM is one of the most awaited SUVs from BMW’s M-division. Similarly sized to the BMW X7, the XM is a bit unique and different in terms of design. They have tried to make the design like the iconic M1 supercar and blended that with modern elements. This sporty design is a bit controversial but really sleek for the most part. The other USPs of this vehicle include a highly power-packed 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 paired with an electric motor. Power is channeled to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The combined power output is a blistering 644 horsepower, which helps it complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in a quick 4.1 seconds.

BMW M340i
Ah, the BMW M340i! A performance sedan, that needs no introduction. A sedan that already is quite sporty and classy and desirable, becomes even better because BMW is going to introduce an updated version of the same. It gets cosmetic and features updates, in the form of new LED DRLs, alloy wheels, and the latest version of the kidney-grille, that makes BMW, BMW. The major highlight, however, is the single-piece curved dashboard display with the full digital cluster on the right side and the 14.9-inch touch display for the infotainment system. But, what does it pack in terms of go-juice? The signature 3.0-liter inline-6 produces 382 hp/500 Nm and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. You can get it in either old-school rear-wheel drive or BMW’s optional xDrive all-wheel drive

BMW S1000 RR
Moving on to the only bike on this list, and what a bike it is! The legendary S1000RR, a liter-class superbike, a 200+ hp missile that needs no introduction. This Bavarian nuke’s updated version comes with an upgraded aero package for improved stability. The newly added winglets claim to deliver 10 kg downforce. The model also gets a new rear end, more power output, and advanced assistance systems.

BMW Joytown
All these models will be released during a very special event, this Saturday, called JOYTOWN. What is JOYTOWN? JOYTOWN is a one-of-a-kind luxury festival, on behalf of BMW Group India. To drift, dance, eat and rock! JOYTOWN is going to be an edge-of-your-seat joyride and the talk of the town. Experience the thrilling world of BMW motoring as you get to experience drift mode on a BMW, witness insane stunts performed by the BMW Motorrad Team, and get to test-drive the MINI, and get that go-kart feeling. Live music from trending artists, some good food, and much more only at JOYTOWN.
Considering the amazing stuff BMW has done for us Indians (while other companies reserve their fun for other countries), it really is commendable, the amount of driving feel that BMW cars and bikes manage to give even today. If you are a car-enthusiast, a foodie, and a BMW fan, this event is something you shouldn’t miss. Saturday, 10th December 2022, 12 pm, Gate No.2, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, Delhi-110003. Don’t miss!
