After launching the Splendor XTEC, Hero has now launched the Passion XTEC at ₹74,590 and ₹78,990 for the drum and disc brake variants respectively. The XTEC joins the standard Pro variant in the lineup. Additionally, the bike comes with a standard warranty of 5 years. The XTEC variant adds more features to the Passion such as Bluetooth connectivity. Let’s take a look at the changes in detail:
What’s new?
One of the major feature additions in the Passion XTEC over the standard Passion is the fully digital, backlit instrument cluster which comes enabled with Bluetooth connectivity. This display shows a host of information including SMS alerts, real-time fuel economy, low fuel warning and service reminders. Pairing your phone via Bluetooth enables a display for the battery level of your phone. It also gets an integrated USB port to charge your phone. Other features include a side stand cut off system which switches the engine if the side stand has been engaged. For added safety, it also comes with the option of a front disc brake which is paired with CBS(Combined Braking System). Other changes include a new rim tape and full-LED headlamps which are not found in the standard version. In terms of powertrain, it shares it with the Splendor and HF Dawn. The single-cylinder air-cooled 110cc engine produces 9hp at 7,500rpm and 9.79nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and it comes with Hero’s i3s start-stop technology which aids in improving fuel efficiency.
