Mahindra & Mahindra has launched another variant of its popular 110cc scooter, the Gusto. The Gusto was designed and developed in-house by Mahindra & Mahindra and was launched last year. This new variant is called the HX and is supposed to be a mid-variant of the Gusto. It finds itself slotted right in between the base trim DX and the top-spec VX. The Gusto HX does differentiate itself from its siblings, by virtue of a few omissions from the VX and certain add-ons over the base DX.
The Gusto HX gets one important feature from its more pricey sibling, the height-adjustable seat. The rider can adjust the seat for a ride height of either 735mm or 770mm when on the saddle. But, the HX does omit certain niche features such as the ‘find-me’ lights and the useful remote flip-key. But, all variants of the Gusto come equipped with the following features as standard; Tubeless tyres, LED pilot lights, telescopic suspension and a front-facing kick lever.
This stylish remote flip-key is only available on the VX trim of the Gusto.
The Gusto also houses a handy storage slot for your phone.
The Gusto HX remains mechanically identical to its stablemates and comes with a single-cylinder 110cc air-cooled petrol engine that makes 8 bhp of max power at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The CVT gearbox is the same on all three variants, too. There are six colours available for you to choose from and this mid-variant Gusto HX is priced at Rs. 49,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
