Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift launched in Europe. Indian launch soon

We have been reporting about the Maruti working on a mid life facelift for its Ritz hatchback. The car has been in our market for three years now and with the Swift having received a complete model replacement recently, it was about time that the Ritz got a liberal dosage of botox to look fresh. The car sports a fresh front fascia with a new version of the slightly Bulgarian beard and new fog lamp surrounds. The front bumper too is all new and has some similarity with the all new Swift Dzire. On the inside, everything remains pretty much unchanged and we are expecting nothing new when this version comes to India.

Apart from these cosmetic changes, the K12 motor on the car should be replaced by the K12M, which, basically is the same 1.2 liter motor but with VVT tech. The 1.3 DDiS oil burner too should be tweaked a bit for more fuel efficiency.

The car has been launched in Europe and is being expected to come to us in the next couple of months.
