Maruti Suzuki cars get dearer by INR 17000

Thanks to this year’s Union Budget bringing an increase in excise duty, every car manufacturer in the country has been forced to revise the prices of its entire line up of cars. From a Maruti Alto to an Audi A8, no matter what car it is, the price tags are going to make you shell out more to acquire your new car. Talking about the leading car manufacturer in India, Maruti Suzuki, the popular auto maker has announced an increase in the prices of its cars. Maruti Suzuki cars have now become dearer by 1.75 percent, translating into an into the cars become more expensive by up to Rs 17,000.While the variants of Maruti’s bread and butter model, 800cc Alto F8, get dearer by Rs. 4200 to 5900, the upper C segment 1.6 litre SX4 sedan will now see the buyer shelling out Rs 9400 to 17000 more.
