Ford today launched the new 2014 Fiesta with a diesel only option, which will be available in three trims – Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. Ford seems to have priced it right this time with the entry level Ambiente trim available at Rs. 769,000*, followed by the Trend Diesel at Rs.855,720*, while the range topper Titanium Diesel is tagged at Rs. 929,449*.
The 2014 Ford Fiesta boasts of a better looking, contemporary front fascia, reminiscent of a very beautiful British sports car. At the rear the tail-lamps have undergone a detailing exercise to now live in harmony with the new ‘Diamond’ cut headlamps. The Fiesta will be powered by Ford’s proven 1.5 L Duratorq TDCi diesel engine that puts out 91 bhp and offers brilliant fuel economy of 25.01 kmpl*, driveability being it’s strong point. Driver side Airbag and ABS will be standard on all versions.
The car will come loaded with features like rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, push-button start and smart key-less entry. Ford’s in-car technology ‘SYNC’ has been upgraded to ‘SYNC’ with ‘FORD Applink’ in the new 2014 Fiesta offering better voice-control over smartphone applications to owners. Colour options have now gone to ‘six’, including new shades, Golden Bronze and Smoke Grey.
Ford will offer an initial 1 year/ 100,000 km warranty which can be further extended up to three years from the date of purchase.
