India Yamaha Motor recently refreshed its 150cc FZ series with the introduction of the FZ16 and FZ-S FI Version 2.0. Now, the company has silently started delivering the Fazer FI Version 2.0 to dealerships. Automotive website Gaadi.com spotted the motorcycle at a Gurgaon dealership. The Fazer FI Version 2 has been priced at Rs 94,305 (on-road) in Gurgaon.
The Fazer is the semi-faired version the FZ-S. So it gets all the bits and pieces that are found on the FZ Version 2. It is also powered by the same 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is found on the new FZ-S FI Version 2. So the motorcycle produces 13.1PS of power and 12.8Nm of torque and comes mated to 5-speed gearbox.
In terms of design, the new Yamaha Fazer Fi V2.0 gets a split seat, redesigned exhaust, updated instrument cluster and new colours/graphics: White Cloud, Black Hawk and Red Dawn. Yamaha managed to shed off the three kilos from the old version as the new Fazer now weighs about 138 kgs.
The Fazer is targeted to the touring community of motorcyclists. The semi-fairing works as a wind deflector and provides better highway cruising capabilities.
