Video: New Hyundai Accent, coming to India 2011 end

Here’s a video of the 2011 India bound next-gen Hyundai Verna. Currently, we have the Transform version of the model in the country, but we are damn sure that it’s just a stop-gap arrangement till the time this new car makes headway in the country. However, knowing Hyundai, and their retention of the Accent when the Verna (internationally the new Accent) arrived, we may expect the company to sell the Verna and the new Accent parallelly in the market.

The new Accent (or Verna in India) from Hyundai will most likely be launched in India by the end of 2011. The car will be assembled in the company’s plant in Chennai and should be priced slightly higher than its current variant. We are expecting that the 2011 Accent will borrow its engines from the current Hyundai Verna, but as we reported earlier, the new Elantra is also ready to make its way into India sometime soon, and if the car shares the new 1.6 direct injection engine with it, we’d be delighted.
