Alfa Romeo has released extensive details and images of the US-spec 2015 4C . The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C is set to reach 86 dealerships this fall and will retail at a starting price of 53,900 USD.
Unlike the European version which has a dry weight of only 895 kg (1,973 lbs), the US model gains some pounds and tips the scales at 1,050 kg (2,315 lbs) because of mandatory safety regulations. Alfa Romeo had to add some aluminum enforcements to the carbon fiber monocoque, along with installing a new fuel system and modifying the substructures for impact absorption.
Powering the car will be the same 4-cylinder, 1.75-liter all-aluminum turbocharged gasoline motor which cranks out 240 PS (177 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque which is sent to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch paddle-shift TCT gearbox. The car can dismiss the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in the “mid-4 second range” and will go on to accelerate to its top whack of 160 mph (258 km/h).

Alfa Romeo is offering a limited-run Launch Edition set to hit dealerships this summer with 500 units each priced at 68,400 USD. All those extra dollars will result into the inclusion of sports seats with black micro fiber, bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, carbon fiber rear spoiler and mirror caps as well as red lacquered brake calipers.
This Launch Edition can also be distinguished by its matte black 18-inch front / 19-inch rear wheels, racing exhaust and an interior carbon fiber trim. The Launch Edition is configured with a race-spec suspension with front- and rear-sway bars and shock absorbers.
