Mahindra XUV sportz front leaked

Updated Mahindra XUV300 Leaks Ahead Of Official Launch

Mahindra is all set to launch the updated XUV300 tomorrow and much to their dismay, the compact SUV has been leaked. Rumored to be named the ‘Sportz’ model, this new avatar of the XUV300 will carry many cosmetic as well as mechanical changes. The XUV300 Sportz made its public debut a few years back at the Indian Auto Expo and it is finally launching tomorrow. Let’s take a look at what’s new:

The leak suggests that the XUV300 will be offered in a new Mustard Yellow color with a dual-tone Black roof. There will also be an option of White and Black colors as well in monotone. The front features the most significant changes wherein the front grille houses Mahindra’s new Twin Peaks logo. The grille has been blacked out as well and it gets red accents. The same red accents can also be found below in the air dam. The rest of the design elements remain the same with the familiar projector headlamps with LED DRLs which extend down towards the fog lamps. The side features new 16-inch alloy wheels which were recently introduced in the current model.

The ORVMs are blacked out and the lower half of the doors feature some sort of cladding. The rear is more or less the same with the only change being that the variant badge now comes colored in red. The interiors are more or less similar to the outgoing version, however, we expect it to get red accents all around. In terms of features, the XUV300 will come loaded with dual-zone climate control, 6 airbags, front parking sensors, a front tire position indicator coupled with a 7” infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, push button start/stop, rain-sensing wipers, etc.

The biggest change in the updated XUV300 will be the addition of a new engine. The new 1.2-litre TGDI engine is a part of the mStallion range of petrol motors it makes 130 PS of power and 230 Nm of torque, which is an increment of 20 PS and 30 Nm over the current petrol engine which powers the XUV300. This new motor utilizes direct injection instead of multi-point fuel injection and has been paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra could also pair it with an AMT. The 1.5-liter diesel engine is expected to be carried over unchanged.
