Uber cabs fares reduced by 25 percent in Mumbai

Ridesharing and car-for-hire service Uber has slashed its fares in Mumbai by 25 percent. And although it’s a temporary thing, Uber says that the offer could be extended if they receive a good response. Uber has also offered discounts in the national capital and other metro cities. The company is offering a 25 percent in Delhi, 20 percent in Bangalore and 25 percent in Chennai.

With the UberBlack and UberX rate cuts applied, the company claims that the customers will have to pay as much as they would pay per kilometer for an autorickshaw. With split-fare option, the ride will cost the customers even cheaper. Moreover, customers do not need to carry any promotional code to avail this rate cut.

Uber wrote on its website, “These prices are only in effect for a limited time.  The more you ride, the more likely we can keep them this low. It’s up to you Mumbai. Forward this to your friends and let ‘em know!”
