TVS Racing has announced a new racing championship for Apache owners. This championship will be named as TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) GP Championship.
However, the manufacturer has announced a special reward for the winner of the Apache Racing GP Championship. The winner will be eligible for various rewards including racing in select rounds of the TVS One Make Championship.
History of TVS Apache Racing Experience(ARE)
The Apache Racing GP Championship is an extension of the TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE). The Apache Racing Experience, also called ARE, was introduced for the first time in 2007. However, it provides a platform for the riders to achieve racing expertise and experience under the champion’s and expert’s supervision.
TVS is expecting the participation of approx. 1,000 riders from 20 cities in India. These riders will be able to learn track-riding skills and racing skills across 3 different categories. As per the TVS, the aim of this TVS ARE GP Championship is to promote the motorsport culture. Moreover, this championship is aimed at increasing the accessibility of the racing culture in the country.
Format of TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE)
TVS is geared up for the GP Championship of the TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE). This new championship will be conducted in 20 cities of India for Apache owners only. In the selection rounds, the riders will have to compete with their own motorcycles. However, this championship will be divided into 3 categories mentioned below:
Category 1 – Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 180
Category 2 – Apache RTR 200 4V
Category 3 – Apache RR 310
From each city, the brand will select a total of 3 winners with one winner from each category. Then, these riders will be eligible for the final round to be held at Madras International Circuit in January 2024. In the final round, the participants will be provided with race-spec bikes for competing. These race-spec bikes are the TVS Apache RTR 200 and TVS Apache RR310.
TVS will select one overall winner in the GP Championship. The GP Championship winner will be eligible for 2 rounds of TVS One Make Championship in Apache RR310 as a wild card entry. Furthermore, the Winner will be rewarded with a sponsored trip to Malaysia MotoGP round and some exclusive Petronas TVS Racing merchandise.
Registration Details
The TVS Apache owners willing for participating can register themselves at the official TVS Racing website. The registration fee is Rs. 1,500 and the first round will be conducted at Vadodara on the 15th of July. Moreover, the first round will be also conducted at Surat and Hyderabad on the 16th of July.
The selection rounds will consist of full-day training, theory, and practical track sessions. All of these rounds will be conducted under the supervision of renowned TVS racers like FIM Baja Rally world cup winner, Aishwarya Pissay, winner of 10 national championships in India, Jagan Kumar, and the winners of the 2022 TVS Asian One Make Championship, Vorapong Malahuan and KY Ahamed.
