Top Upcoming Hyundai Cars in 2023 You Should Know!

One of the prominent carmakers, Hyundai is on the verge of launching more cars in the Indian market. The carmaker line-up has plans to update its hatchback, launching a new micro-SUV and N-line version of a mid-size sedan. Let’s have a look at the details of the upcoming cars of Hyundai:

1. Hyundai Exter

The Hyundai Exter is a sub-4 metre micro-SUV which will be positioned between Venue and Grand i10 Nios. The Exter is based on the k1 platform which shares its underpinnings with other siblings like Aura and Nios. The Exter will get the standard 6-Airbags, dual dashcam etc. like safety features. Moreover, it features a parametric grille, projector headlights, alloys, an infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, etc.

However, the Exter will receive the same 1.2L petrol and CNG engines which powers the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20 and Venue. The Exter will get the MT and AMT transmission and will be priced between Rs. 6 to 11 Lakhs Ex-showroom. Hyundai will launch the Exter on the 10th of July 2023 and compete with Ignis, Punch, Magnite, Kiger and Fronx.

2. Hyundai i20 facelift

The 3rd generation i20 was launched in 2020 and it is selling with a similar fascia. However, the carmaker will introduce the mid-life facelift version of the premium hatchback, i20 soon. Moreover, there are many spy snippets which went viral on the internet depicting the heavily camouflaged test mule of the i20. We can expect a slew of minor cosmetic tweaks and the addition of new features in the i20 facelift.

Furthermore, the new i20 will get alloy wheels and an updated infotainment system. However, the i20 facelift will be powered by the same 1.2L VTVT and 1.0L T-GDi petrol engines. The turbo petrol might get a 6-speed manual gearbox in the N-Line version.

3. Hyundai Verna N-Line

The Korean carmaker has recently launched a new generation of Verna in the Indian market. This car has grabbed a lot of attention from the audience in the market along with some good sales figures. Now, the carmaker is gearing up to launch the more aggressive and sportier version of the Verna in N-Line iteration. The N stands for Namyang which is the home of the carmaker’s R&D centre. Moreover, the N division makes a performance-oriented version of Hyundai cars with tweaked suspension, enhanced handling, and powerful tuning of engines.

We can expect that the Verna N-Line will also get the same along with the aesthetic elements of the N division. However, the Verna N-Line will be only powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder T-GDi petrol engine producing 160ps and 253nm of output. The Verna T-GDi is available with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission and 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission.
