2023 Nissan Z Nismo

Nissan Nismo Z Teased In A Latest Video

Nissan has just revealed a teaser for its upcoming Nismo Z. Nismo Z is supposedly a hotter version of the outgoing Z. Nissan has not mentioned any details on what changes they have made to the Z. However, we expect a slight increase in power. Along with suspension tuning and chassis tuning to make it more capable around the track. In terms of exterior, they have more aggressive bumpers, skirting with red accents, and the option of black Nismo branded wheels. Inside we can easily spot red Nismo racing seats with five-point racing harnesses.

Expected Powertrain

The last generation 370Z Nismo added 18 horsepower over the base 370Z. The clip focuses on Chris Forsberg a professional racing driver looking under the hood, but the shot still seems to show the same twin-turbocharged V-6 on the base car, and shots of the tachometer seem to indicate the same 7000 RPM redline. Given that the clip is focused on performance on a track, other revisions to make the car even more engaging and track-ready should be expected, too. Forsberg can also be seen drifting around the empty circuit while creating a lot of smoke, so we expect it to keep the RWD layout.

Nissan has given no further indication on when we will see the rest of the car, with the video only adding that the Nismo Z is coming soon. The choice to show the entire car uncovered in this clip suggests that those further details may not be all that far away. Currently, Toyota Supra is the closest rival for the Nissan Z and Toyota Supra is generally faster and better to drive but also more expensive. The Nismo version might close the gap with its biggest rival.
