In an attempt to motivate its drivers, Ola has launched a new initiative in Bangalore. This new initiative is called Ola Premier League and it will be held over a period of five weeks. The drivers taking part in this contest stand to win exciting goodies (maybe even more), if they win. According to Ola, the driver who scores the highest number of runs during this period could likely get the keys to a 2BHK apartment, and the top two best performers of the week will win trips abroad. The drivers can tag along one of their friends or a family member.
The next four top drivers (numbering 4-7 in line) will be endowed with money. This prize money can then be used by the drivers to pay back their car’s down payment and EMI (3 months). Ola’s Premiere League contest could also see the top 50 drivers winning consumer durables and the next 150 drivers in line could likely be the owners of brand new electronic goodies. At the conclusion of the five week long contest, top 500 drivers will be invited to a gala entertainment evening.
The company will be determining the winners by reviewing the number of bookings that each driver collects. Customer feedback on each ride by the drivers will also be accounted for in concluding the winners. “It is because of the hard work and commitment of our drivers that we are the leading cab booking mobile app in Bengaluru today. With Ola Premier League, we aim to encourage all driver-partners on our platform to put in their best efforts and reward the most hardworking ones among them. The bar is raised now in terms of rewards- many of them the first of its kind, which will motivate every driver to deliver his best,” said Pranay Jivrajka, Vice President of Operations, Ola.
