After the Bajaj RS200, it is the AS200 Adventure Sport that will hit the shelves of your nearest dealership! Latest spy images suggest that the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 Adventure Sport has already reached a dealership and it would not be long before the motorcycle is offered to the Indian audience. We learnt from our sources that Bajaj will hold another launch event in the month of April and it may well be the unveiling of the Pulsar AS200.
There is also a 150cc Adventure Sport variant of the motorcycle in works which was spotted a few days ago. But we are not sure whether Bajaj will introduce the AS150 along with the AS200. Although we are not sure whether the Pulsar AS200 will benefit from fuel injection or not, we would assume that Bajaj will equip this Adventure Sport model with the new motor that powers the Pulsar RS200. The 199.5cc engine is capable of churning out 24.5PS of power at 9750 RPM and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM.
Visually, the motorcycle will sports a taller wind protective shield, projector headlight setup and a half-fairing. The tail end has a longer rear fender which should protect the rider from dirt and mud flying off the wheel. We expect the prices to hover around the Rs 1.20 lakh mark i.e. unless Bajaj surprises us with a more competitive tag.
