Scania to set up a manufacturing facility in India

 

Scania has to be manufacturers of one of the most popular range of HCVs (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) and Scania’s Indian division is working on setting up a manufacturing plant in the Narasapura industrial area, Bangalore. Over the nest five years, we will see the truck manufacturer investing as much as Rs.2.25 billion in this unit. The first Scania to roll out the production line should be seen by 2013. Initially, Scania products will come to us theu CKD route.  The company plans to manufacture 2000 heavy haulage trucks and 1000 inter-city coaches and buses at its upcoming Indian plant within next 5 years..
