Land Rover is launching its Range Rover Evoque facelift in India on 19th of November. The new, face lifted model features a whole bunch of changes and improvements over the model it replaces.
On the outside, the new model gets more sharply styled LED headlamps and DRLs. The Bi-Xenon headlamps on the previous model have been shown the bin for the newer tech. Stylistic changes have been made to the front grille which will be available in two options for the new model. The position of the fog lamps, which get the LED treatment now, has gone higher up on the side air vents, which are bigger in size now. The new model also gets a pair of vents on the bonnet for the 5-door model, something which was available only on the 3-door model earlier.
On the sides, the Evoque retains its sporty, sharply dropping roofline with a slim glasshouse area. The car gets minor changes in the ORVMs and a bigger choice for the alloys though. At the rear, the tail-lamps get the LED treatment similar to the front. The roof spoiler also gets a new set of LED brake lights which are spread longer across the width.
On the inside, the new Evoque more or less retains its distinctive cabin. The new Evoque will come standard with Land Rover’s new InControl Touch 8.0-inch touch screen infotainment system, and un updated TFT MID in the instrument console. Door panels will be new, too, along with a wider choice for customization of the cabin.
Currently the Evoque is available with a 188bhp, 420 Nm 2.2-litre diesel engine mated to a nine-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Power is delivered to all four wheels. This variant will be locally assembled in India.
The price of the new Range Rover evoque is expected to range from Rs 50 – 60 lakh ex-showroom depending on the variant. Motoroids will be reporting live from the launch event of the new Evoque.
