New Bajaj Avenger 220 Street

The new Bajaj Avenger has been launched in two body styles – Cruise and Street. While the Cruise variant adheres with the traditional ‘cruiser’ styling and features spoked wheels with loads of chrome on the body, the Street variant is an urban-street take on the motorcycle by Bajaj with black alloy wheels and a more trendy styling.

  1. Lady rider in the last pic is Dr. Aparna Bandodkar. She uses Royal Enfield (named as Bijli by herself) as a daily rider to her clinic in Mumbai.

  2. Well the reason I said that was having driven a friends Avenger 220 quite lot, it feels underpowered on open roads and definitely lacks 6th gear. Hence I guess I'm better off with AS200 for those occassional tours. AS200 would be better off in city as well.

  3. The moment you guys first reported that Avenger might not get any mechanical upgrade (After telling us otherwise for close to a year now) I was disappointed. Now this becoming a reality, it seems that Bajaj is taking its customers for granted. Not providing a real update for a five year old product is a harakiri. I was looking forward to upgrade my Pulsar 150 to a bike comfortable for pillion riders and an upgraded Avenger would have fit the bill perfectly. With this Hero Motors like Paint Job I would probably go for Honda CB Hornet 160R now.
Bajaj Auto, you have just lost a Fan and a Loyal Customer too.
