Bajaj Auto has overhauled its econo-cruiser Avenger with stylistic, mechanical and feature related changes. Motoroids has reported exclusively on the product with a series of spy images and details earlier. The launch of the new MY 2016 Bajaj Avenger is underway as we write this report. The pricing for the three new Avengers has been announced
- Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise price Rs 84,000 ex-showroom Delhi
- Bajaj Avenger 220 Street price Rs 84,000 ex-showroom Delhi
- Bajaj Avenger 150 Street price Rs 75,000 ex-showroom Delhi

New Bajaj Avenger 220 Street
The new Bajaj Avenger has been launched in two body styles – Cruise and Street. While the Cruise variant adheres with the traditional ‘cruiser’ styling and features spoked wheels with loads of chrome on the body, the Street variant is an urban-street take on the motorcycle by Bajaj with black alloy wheels and a more trendy styling.

Here are the details of the new Avenger 220 Street
Focused more towards urban riding conditions with a dark theme, and targeted at younger riders
New features on the two motorcycles include new oil cooler cover, flexible indicators, seat cushioning, new silencer design etc
Bajaj is now unveiling the third motorcycle in the Avengers series now
So the Avenger 150 is INDEED being launched, in the Street guise
New Bajaj Avenger 150 Street with a fresh Midnight Blue paintjob
The bike will apparently have a ‘newly configured’ 150cc DTS-i engine with 14.5bhp of power and 12.5 Nm of torque, along with 10% better torque at lower to middle range as compared to the same engine on the Pulsar. It will also feature improved NVH characteristics, and a new silencer with an exhaust note to match the cruiser character.

Well, the engines on the new Avenger have sure been a bit of a disappointment, but we don’t want to be conclusive about the bike until we have ridden it throughly. We are going to test ride all three variants very soon. Will let you know our verdict by 21st of November.
Bajaj explained the statistics to Indian motorcycle manufacturers about growing cruiser segment rather than avenger release with new engine !!!
new bikes 100 cc, 125cc, 150cc segment have 4 valve oil/air cooled engines , 200cc have 3 spark engine coolant new gen engines!!!! But not the new avenger !!! We just need re tuned new 200cc 4 valve 3spark (not oil cooler ) with coolant cooler like Pulsar NS,RS engine for avenger with rear disk break with optional ABS !! All are ready to pay ex showroom price of 1.5lack for extra new engine , rear disk break with ABS ??
I know this is not going to happen for Bajaj until and unless TVS releases new cruiser 😀 Bajaj forgot it's own innovation path, new engine concept , following it's entry level bike features in cruiser !! 100cc platina have 4 value engine!! After a significant wait finally Bajaj has launched its new Avengers (so called new). But Personally I just see some paint job done.
They added alloy wheels to it and I was hoping it would probably add up tubeless tyres too, but no! There are no details about it.
The back seat rest has been removed and it looks like old Discover left out back handler bars are added in stead.
Bit confused whether I should buy this bike or not!
