Ingolstadt based car maker, Audi, has announced plans to sell the Q3 in the United States. The crossover will go on sale this fall, and will be showcased at the Detroit Motor Show, next week.
The entry-level crossover from Audi, is nicely equipped with LED-infused xenon plus headlights, a panoramic sunroof and 18-inch alloy wheels(19–inch offered as option).
On the interior front, the cabin of the Audi Q3 boasts an extensive array of standard equipment including 12-way power front seats, heated front seats and leather upholstery. There’s also LED interior lighting and metallic trim.
Optional bells n whistles include an electrically opening tailgate, a BOSE Surround Sound system and an Audi drive select system with three different modes: Comfort, Dynamic and Auto. Customers can also order the car with a Sport package, a Driver Assistance package and an MMI navigation plus system with a seven-inch display.
Powering the car will be a 2.0-liter TFSI four-pot engine that develops 200 bhp of max power and 280 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed Tiptronic transmission. The new 2015 Audi Q3 can be ordered with 2WD or the optional quattro all-wheel drive system.
Coming off the recent A3 family announcement we are now for the first time entering into the premium compact class of SUVs with the introduction of the Audi Q3 into our line-up,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “Our growing SUV family will now offer three distinct products in the premium SUV category; and like the successful Q5 and Q7, the Q3 will continue with the established standards they started with regards to utility, technology, craftsmanship and performance.”
