Mitsubishi unveils new X-Force SUV-Details!

After a long while, Mitsubishi unveiled its brand-new X-Force SUV. The target of the company is on selling this SUV in the ASEAN market, starting with Indonesia. Additionally, the Japanese car manufacturer plans to introduce the SUV in other global markets like the Middle East and Latin America, etc.

Drawing inspiration from the XFC Concept, the design of the Mitsubishi X-Force has been tamed down than its concept version. While the SUV features a slew of key design elements from other Renault-Mitsubishi SUVs. The boxy silhouette and multiple creases on the body add to its distinctive character.

At the front, the SUV boasts tri-arrow-shaped LED headlights, complemented by silver housing and a sizable grille proudly displaying the Mitsubishi logo. Furthermore, the vehicle showcases a fresh bumper with skid plates, a sculpted bonnet, and stylish alloy wheels.

Moving to the rear, the SUV features a spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, accompanied by a shark fin antenna. The sporty stance is further highlighted by the tri-arrow-shaped LED taillights and a well-designed rear bumper. With these design elements, the new X-Force features an attractive design with a blend of sporty and muscular stance.

Mitsubishi X-Force: Interior and Features

Like its exterior, the X-Force offers a premium interior with a tri-tone theme. The interior layout exudes a futuristic vibe and minimizes the use of physical buttons. The colour scheme combines black, beige, and brown tones, enhanced by chrome accents on the AC vents.

Meanwhile, the dashboard stands out with a glossy black panel housing a twin-screen layout. This setup includes a 12.3-inch infotainment system and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. It also gets an 8-speaker audio system developed by Yamaha.

Among its array of features are multiple USB ports, a smartphone holder, a wireless charger, and various storage compartments. The SUV also boasts stain-resistant fabric upholstery and the convenience of a reclining rear seat. With these embellishments, the new SUV is ready to cater to a wide range of audiences.

Mitsubishi X-Force: Dimensions and Performance

The new X-Force comes with generous dimensions that go beyond typical SUV standards. Sharing its platform with the Xpander, this SUV boasts a lengthy wheelbase of 2,650mm. The SUV’s dimensions stand at 4,390mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,660mm in height.

Notably, the X-Force enjoys a higher ground clearance of 222mm. With these well-proportioned dimensions, the carmaker asserts that the X-Force provides a roomy interior coupled with exceptional practicality.

Under the hood, the X-Force uses a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This powerplant churns out 105hp of power and 141nm of torque output. Meanwhile, the power is directed to the front wheels through a CVT Transmission.

Despite its front-wheel-drive setup, this SUV boasts multiple driving modes such as Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud. Impressively, the SUV also features Mitsubishi’s renowned Active YAW Control system, previously seen in the Lancer Evolution 4.

Will it come to India?

A few years ago, Mitsubishi had a strong position as a popular car brand in the Indian market. Despite being part of the Renault-Nissan global venture, there’s no official news about Mitsubishi’s comeback to India. Instead, Mitsubishi is directing its focus towards other markets like Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The Japanese automaker is all set to introduce the X-Force in these markets initially.

Meanwhile, the Renault-Nissan venture is thriving with models like Triber, Kiger, and Magnite, which are enjoying impressive sales figures. However, the Renault-Nissan group is actively working on manufacturing 6 new vehicles locally, including the exciting addition of 2 new electric vehicles.
