Mercedes-Benz has reportedly informed the folks at Automotive News, that the CLA Shooting Brake will be debuting in 2015.
It was open that Mercedes-Benz was working on the station wagon version of the CLA. Now, it has emerged that Mercedes-Benz will be launching this model sometime in 2015. The styling on this CLA Shooting Brake will be on the lines of the CLS Shooting Brake. Space will also be increased in comparison to the CLA Coupe, with increased headroom at the rear, and more boot space available due to the station wagon body type.
The CLA Shooting Brake will be the fifth model which will be underpinned by the compact front wheel drive platform from the parent firm, Daimler. Other models using this platform include the CLA sedan, GLA crossover and the hatchbacks- A-class and B-class. Currently, only the CLA is available in the United states and the GLA will be launched in September 2014.
AMG model of the CLA Shooting Brake isn’t on the cards yet, but is likely to happen, given that the A45Â and CLA are already on sale withthe AMG high performance variants. GLA will also be available with the AMG variant.
Also, the report talks about slim chances of seeing a convertible or  shorter roadster to follow, but that will happen in the next gen models which are five years away from now.
It is unclear whether the CLA Shooting Brake will be available in the United States.
