Mahindra and Mahindra has silently updated the lower variants of the TUV300 with the 100 hp engine. The mHawk100 diesel engine, which was introduced in September last year, was until recently available only with the T8 and T10 variants of the model.
The Mahindra TUV300 was originally launched in India in 2015 with an mHawk80 engine. Now, all the variants of the TUV300, including the T4 as well as the T6, will come equipped with the 100 hp engine. The 1.5-litre, three cylinder, mHawk100 diesel engine,as the name suggests is capable of producing a power output of 100 hp at 3750 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 1600-2800 rpm. Transmission options include a five speed manual unit available as standard while an AMT unit is available as an option on the T8 and T10 variants.
The Mahindra TUV300 with the mHawk100 engine will now be available across the variant range including the T4+, T6+, T8, T8 AMT, T10 and T10 AMT. Colour options on the model include Bold Black, Majestic Silver, Dynamo Red, Molten Orange and Pearl White. The company also offers dual tone paint jobs in shades of Red and Black as well as Silver and Black. Customers also have the option of personalising their TUV300 with the Endurance Kit and the Luxury Edition Kits. Prices for the Mahindra TUV300 now start at INR 8.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
